Wildlife and Underwater Filmmaking by Corina Ackermann

My love of nature has been with me since I was a child. Today, I have turned my love of wildlife and nature into a career. I work as a camerawoman/assistant both on land and underwater. The underwater world has fascinated me from an early age - its stillness, weightlessness, the interplay of light and movement. As a certified diver (IAC Master Diver), I feel at home in the oceans of this world.

With my films, I want to touch people, encourage them to look - and raise awareness of our connection to nature.

On the one hand, I enjoy working in teams as a camerawoman/assistant and on the other hand, I create my own smaller projects independently - from the idea to the finished film. A particular focus of my work is my collaboration with animal welfare and nature conservation organisations. I accompany projects on film in order to raise awareness, educate people and contribute to the protection of endangered species and habitats.
